Get to know Andy
I would be honored to serve Ward 4 and our city by listening to community members and advocating for you.
I was raised in Northern Minnesota on my family’s farm where the values of hard work and reliability were instilled at an early age. My wife Kari and I have lived in the Rochester area for 17 years along with our six children and two grandsons.
My team and I have redeveloped distressed and forgotten properties in Rochester. This includes the Parker (Civic Inn), Beacon (Clinic Inn & Suites), Marion (Homestead/Tick Tock), Newhouse (Chalet), Graham (Fairview/Poor House), Ida (Windsor Court), and Workshop Food Hall & Workshop Barbers (Reid, Murdoch & Co Workshop originally, Libby’s and Seneca).
Kari and I were honored to receive the Mayor’s Medal of Honor for Business and Industry and the Distinguished Service Award from the Rochester Police Department.
I enjoy opportunities to volunteer including coaching youth sports, peer leadership, mentoring those in recovery, cutting hair for those in need at the Landing, and more.
I’ve been a barber for 29 years and currently own Workshop Barbers. Being a barber is more than a career for me, it allows me the opportunity to stay connected to the community and to build relationships.
I believe in, reinvest in, and care about our community. My commitment runs deep, and I look forward to serving you.
